LGS 2D 2.2 is an important step forward in model diagnostics. The over-defined diagnostics algorithm was significantly improved to detect subtle constraint dependencies.

This example demonstrates the fact that semantics of degrees of freedom is now taken into account: a bottom line of the created rectangle is constrained with horizontal constraint, but also with a perpendicularity constraint to the left border of the rectangle. However, this left border has fixed direction (implied by to incident fixed points). Thus, single angular degree of freedom of the bottom line is taken twice. It’s worth mentioning that formal numbers of degrees of objects on this sketch are enough. It’s only the advanced semantics of these degrees of freedom that allows to reveal overdefinedness.
