Proficiency, licensee of LGS 2D
LGS 2D – two-dimension variational solver from LEDAS is licensed by Proficiency
Since 1998, Proficiency (in 2009 acquired by Transcendata) is a leader in feature-based translation solution enabling the transfer of complete design intelligence between major CAD systems, such as geometry, features, sketches, manufacturing information, metadata, assembly information and drawings in the conversion process. Accurate and usable models are achieved with up to 95% automation. Proficiency also provides a CAD completion wizard to help users improve the automated results.
Proficiency became the first customer of the LEDAS 2D geometric solver. The contract was characterize by the following press-release of 15 Jun 2004.
Since 2004, the teams of Proficiency and LEDAS support close relations including implementation of some joint projects and indirect outsourcing.
LEDAS announced that Proficiency has licensed the LEDAS LGS geometric solver and has integrated it in Proficiency's Collaboration Gateway feature-based interoperability solution. The LGS 2D solver is being used to support the exchange of 2D geometric constraints present in the CAD systems currently supported by Proficiency, including CATIA(R) V4, CATIA(R) V5, I-DEAS NX(R) Series, Pro/ENGINEER(R), and Unigraphics(tm) NX Series.
