Professor Niklaus Wirth, inventor of Pascal, Modula-2, and Oberon programming languages, visited LEDAS.

Professor Niklaus Wirth, a world-famous computer scientist from ETH, Zurich, Switzerland, inventor of Pascal, Modula-2, and Oberon programming languages, visited LEDAS in the framework of his 3 days stay at Novosibirsk.

On Sunday, 2nd of October, Professor Wirth gave a lecture "Oberon - a successor of Pascal and Modula" at the Novosibirsk State University.

On 3rd of October Professor Wirth visited IIS -- A.P. Ershov Institute of Informatics Systems (Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science) and LEDAS Ltd. where, by an example of the business of the LEDAS Group, he could see how Siberian computer science (started with Professors Alexei Lyapunov and Andrei Ershov) is applied to the software development industry.

Professor Wirth has also participated in a round table on educational topics organized by IIS.
