LEDAS Sets Record 1H24 Revenues

Growth experienced in geometric constraint solving, digital healthcare, and industrial control systems

September 20, 2024 — LEDAS, a leading provider of worldwide R&D (research and development) services in engineering software, reported today on its first-half revenues for fiscal year 2024. The company achieved a new all-time high in revenues for this semi-annual reporting period.

As a private company, LEDAS does not report details of its revenues. However, LEDAS does report revenue percentages in the following industry groups:

LEDAS revenue percentages

LEDAS revenues by areas of expertise, Q1-Q2 2024

Revenues were distributed almost evenly between the four top-grossing segments of LEDAS’ business:

  1. 2D and 3D Computational Engines 26.9%
  2. Digital Healthcare 24.1%
  3. Building Information Modeling (BIM) 23.5%
  4. Computer Aided-Manufacturing (CAM) 19.6%

The leading segment is 2D and 3D computational engines, which includes 2D and 3D geometric kernels, geometric constraint solvers, and additional libraries used by engineering software developers. LEDAS is a renowned player in the geometric constraint solving area, with over twenty years of experience. We have written solvers in-house and for CAD vendors, such as Dassault Systѐmes. As a long-term and important area of expertise for LEDAS, we reached the highest revenues ever in constraint solver development in the first half of this year.

In the areas of digital medicine and healthcare, LEDAS continues to work on projects in dentistry, ophthalmology, and bone and skull prosthesis. The scope for several projects was expanded by clients, and two of them, including the newest, are being developed on our own LEDAS Cloud Platform (LCP).

Currently, our largest outsourcing project is related to BIM, and the customer also decided to use LCP for prototyping and development.

Another area in which LEDAS has gained a significant boost in revenues is industry control systems (ICS). We are developing a new project dedicated to effortless programming of networks of controllers of large industrial systems. When finished, users of this software will be able to create visual programs with input and output blocks, logical elements, conditional statements, and other programming objects.
