BIM and 3D Constraint Solvers Generated Most of LEDAS Revenue in 2025

Geographically, Western Europe is the fastest-growing area

January 31, 2026 – Today LEDAS, a global software development provider specializing in engineering software, reported its 2025 financial results.

LEDAS Sales by Industry, 2025, 3D Components, Digital Healthcare, CAD / CAM, 3D Web, AEC/BIM

The most profitable areas for the company were 3D Components (a.k.a “Solvers and Engines”) and Building Information Modeling (BIM), with each of these two areas providing about one third of the annual earnings, 35% and 30% respectively.

The number one area “Solvers and Engines” consists of sophisticated algorithmic software libraries that make it possible to resolve contemporary engineering challenges via state-of-the-art mathematical methods and performance-optimized codebases. In this category, LEDAS obtained most of its profits thanks to its 25 years of experience in geometric constraint solving, a specialized niche of the Solvers and Engines market that is essential for 2D sketching, drawings, 3D part and assembly design, motion simulation, complex families of BIM objects and composite profiles, and many other applications.

LEDAS’ ability to develop a geometric constraint solver from scratch (and provide full IP rights to its customer) and also make it fast, precise and overall competitive puts our team in a unique position among a limited number of global providers of software R&D services for CAD, CAM, CAE and BIM software. With 15 years of expertise in the adjacent, broader area of 3D modeling kernel development, LEDAS can implement and deliver all the necessary building blocks for contemporary 2D/3D modeling software and many custom engineering solutions. Outside its main business of providing software outsourcing services, LEDAS licenses its own component software to developers of engineering applications, namely LGC (LEDAS Geometry Comparison) and LCP (LEDAS Cloud Platform).

The close runner-up, Building Information Modeling, is another primary area of LEDAS expertise based on a 10+ year history of fulfilling ambitious software projects in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC). LEDAS has implemented a large-scale BIM software solution for both construction and reconstruction & renovation of buildings. This project is developed for a European customer, with a series of software releases scheduled in 2026 and the following years.

LEDAS generates the last third of its earnings in other key areas: CAD and CAM (including additive manufacturing), digital healthcare, and advanced 3D web solutions. LEDAS participates in 10+ software projects of this kind, with highlights including high-quality smooth 3D modeling needed for the aerospace & automotive industries, full-scale automation solutions for digital orthodontics with aligners, automated manufacturing with 3D robots, multi-axis CNC machines, 3D printers with metal powder, and many others.

LEDAS Sales by Region, 2025 year, Western, Europe, North America, East Asia, Other

In 2025, the diverse geography of LEDAS customers was similar to the previous 10 years, with Western Europe, North America, and East Asia being the top three providers of LEDAS income. Western Europe was the number one region, with 44% of LEDAS income (+7% compared to 2024) flowing from projects for customers from Germany, France, Italy, and Switzerland. East Asia and North America have rather close shares of LEDAS income (26% and 22% respectively) with projects dedicated to 3D kernels and solvers, digital medicine, and 3D web.
